Race description

Karlovy Vary invite the most talented triathletes of Europe.

Every year, the best triathletes on the planet come to Karlovy Vary to participate in the World Cup race. However, this year, together with them, the most talented young racers from all over Europe will also showcase their skills in the beautiful spa center!

CITY TRIATHLON Karlovy Vary is introducing a new addition to its attractive three-day program, the European Triathlon Talents race. This event will take place on Friday, September 8th, and is aimed at athletes aged 14 and 15. Talented foreign triathletes will join the best Czech racers during the Český pohár žactva race, which consists of distances 0.4 – 10.2 – 3 km. The swimming portion will be held in the Rolava leisure area’s lake, where two days later, participants of the World Cup will also jump into the water from a special pier. The cycling segment will take place on a hilly, fully closed circuit. During the flat running part, the competitors will circle the lake.

Registration

The Registration is via an electronic registration form at the Czech Triathlon Association page cts.triatlon.cz.

Starting fee is payable by September 5, 2023 and credited to the organizer´s account or in cash at the presentation.

Payment of the entry fee in cash is possible on the spot at registration.

For each payment the triathlete has to present a payment slip – printed or electronically on the cellphone.

Each triathlete will receive

Triathletes in the category Pupils have an opportunity to buy a race T-shirt for the more favorable price of CZK 250. (While stocks last.)

Refreshment during the race and after the race
The organizer is entitled to decide whether some triathletes will be freed from the payment of starting fee.
The organizer will not refund the starting fee to the absent triathletes.

CITY TRIATHLON Karlovy Vary 2023 – Czech triathlon cup – Pupils categories

Race Regulations

In the Czech triathlon cup – Pupils categories, the 2023 CTA race regulations and the official race programme apply. The organizers reserve the right to make necessary changes.

Special regulations:

The organizer has the right to limit the number of starting triathletes.
The cycling race course will be closed. Dangerous places will be secured by the police and organizers. The triathletes are obliged to follow the road traffic regulations!
All triathletes start at their own risk.
Only road bikes are allowed! Mountain, trekking, time trial and similar bikes are not allowed.
The bike helmet is compulsory!!!
